বিশ্বের সেরা বিমানবন্দর নির্বাচিত হলো সিঙ্গাপুরের চাঙ্গি। টানা সপ্তমবারের মতো এই স্বীকৃতি অর্জন করলো বিমানবন্দরটি।

যুক্তরাজ্য ভিত্তিক এভিয়েশন শিল্প সমালোচক প্রতিষ্ঠান স্কাইট্র্যাক্সের পরিচালনায় বিশ্বের ৫৫০টি বিমানবন্দর নিয়ে চালানো জরিপে নিজেদের সন্তুষ্টি সম্পর্কে রেটিং দেন ১ কোটি ৩৫ লাখ ভ্রমণকারী। উচ্চ প্রযুক্তির সুবিধা, কর্মীদের বন্ধুসুলভ ব্যবহার, অবসর কাটানোর অফুরান সুযোগ, গতিময় ইমিগ্রেশন সেবা— এসব মিলিয়ে সেরা বিমানবন্দর নির্বাচন হয়।
গত ২০ বছরে সব মিলিয়ে ১০ বার সম্মানটি পেলো চাঙ্গি বিমানবন্দর।

গত ১৭ এপ্রিল চাঙ্গিতে চালু হয়েছে ‘জুয়েল’ নামে ডোনাট আকৃতির বিস্ময়কর সুন্দর একটি স্থাপত্যকর্ম। যার কেন্দ্রস্থল থেকে গড়িয়ে পড়ছে বিশ্বের সর্বোচ্চ ইনডোর জলপ্রপাত। 'রেইন ভোর্টেক্স' নামের এই জলপ্রপাতটি ইতোমধ্যে বিশ্বের বিখ্যাত টুরিস্ট এট্ট্রাকশন হিসাবে পরিচিতি লাভ করেছে। এতে একটি বনাঞ্চলও আছে । এটি নির্মাণে ব্যয় হয়েছে ১.৭ বিলিয়ন সিঙ্গাপুর ডলার। সব মিলিয়ে চাঙ্গি আসলেই বিশ্বসেরা।
