মনের গভীরে ছুঁয়ে যাওয়া, অনুভূতিকে নাড়িয়ে দেওয়ার গল্প নিয়ে তৈরি সিনেমার নাম ‘ভাত দে’। মা-মাটি আর আবহমান গ্রাম বাংলার মানুষদের সুখ-দুঃখ ও জীবনসংগ্রামের কথা বলেছে সিনেমাটি। ‘ভাত দে’ দেখে কেঁদেছিলেন লাখো বাঙ্গালি। এক মুঠো ভাতের জন্য মানুষের বঞ্চনা ও নিপীড়নের শিকার এক অসহায় নারীর জীবনসংগ্রামের কথাই বলা হয়েছে এই সিনেমায়।

সিনেমাটির পোষ্টার ছিল অর্থবহ। এক অসহায় নারীর জীবন বাঁচানোর ভাষা। যে ভাষাতে ফুটে উঠেছে এক ক্ষুধার্ত নারীর ‘ভাত দে’ বলে চিৎকার। যে চিৎকারের মাধ্যমে তার দাবিকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করতে চায় এবং এটা তার মৌলিক দাবি।


The name of the movie is 'Bhat De'. The movie talks about the happiness, sorrow and life struggle of the people of Ma-Mati and Abhaman village Bengal. Millions of Bengalis cried when they saw 'Bhat De'. The movie is about the life struggle of a helpless woman who is deprived and oppressed for a handful of rice.

The poster of the movie was meaningful. The language of saving the life of a helpless woman. In that language, a hungry woman shouted 'Bhat de'. Who wants to establish his claim by shouting and this is his basic demand.
